Zentit is a Startup founded by team of physicists and physicians committed to Computer Aided Diagnostics (CAD). For more than 10 years we have been researching and working with Medical Imaging. During a decade of our academic life, our team blazed a trail from publication-prone but boilerplate CAD science to the roots and basic prerequisites of Clinical Decision Support (CDS), Artificial intelligence (AI) and CAD tools reliable also under real-life conditions.

During this 10 years, we have found that today’s medical image equipment delivers image data well suited for qualitative clinical reading. However, medical image data is subject to a multitude of equipment dependent, user dependent, processing and post-processing dependent factors, and after all specific physical determinants and limitations. The present lack of objective and individual product quality control (QC) in medical imaging finally renders image quantification from different sources at best heterogeneous and inaccurate, but not uncommonly just erratic and incomparable. With a perspective of universal CAD, CDS and use of AI in medical imaging past and current activities are best described as “garbage in – garbage out”.

OUR MISSION
Zentit’s mission is to provide integral services for individual QC and maintenance of input data quality, with the perspective of a truly checked and comparable data as the prerequisite of universal CAD, CDS and AI software tools and results.

BERND KLAESER, Co-founder
Bernd is a renowned physician in nuclear medicine and an expert in medical imaging. Currently he is the Head of Nuclear Medicine at the Cantonal Hospital of Winterthur where he is working to the highest quality standards in medical care. It is his high-quality standards and his medical expertise, which we hardwired into our expert system.

GEORGE PRENOSIL, Co-founder
George is a medical physicist at the Inselspital Bern. This position enables the access to state-of-the-art medical imaging equipment and knowledge. Originally trained as a neuroscientist, George soon left the field of fundamental science in order to apply his skills clinically.

THILO WEITZEL
Thilo Weitzel is a true polymath. He currently work in Inselspital Bern as a medical physicist. He engineered the kernel of our intelligent software. It was his genius, which endowed our expert system with its high level of abstraction, which still rising.
